Council to share details on bidders

A NEW tie-up between the police and local authorities will see information exchanged on criminal gangs and businesses linked with them bidding for public sector contracts.

West Dunbartonshire is the latest Scottish council to sign an "information sharing protocol" and will now be able to apply to the police for certain information relating to individuals linked to the company bidding to supply services.
