Council to weigh bins during publicity drive for recycling

HOUSEHOLDERS are to have their bins weighed as part of a survey to check how much they are recycling.

Inverclyde Council is conducting a study as it seeks to reduce the amount of rubbish it sends to landfill in a bid to meet Scottish Government targets.

The local authority is targeting flats and tenements to find out what improvements can be made to the recycling process.
