Couple killed in motorbike crash named by police

A couple killed in a crash involving a motorbike and a lorry have been named by police.

Derek and Anne McSkimming died as a result of Friday's collision on the A713 just outside Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Galloway.

The couple, from Glenlee, New Galloway, were killed when their Suzuki motorcycle and a Volvo tipper lorry collided at about 7.50pm.

The lorry driver, from Dumfries, was uninjured.

Police Scotland said the procurator fiscal has been notified.
