Cousin of 'mystery' hitman tells of shock at vicious knife attack

THE family of a hitman who tried to kill a legal chief have spoken of their shock at the former university student's "cowardly and vicious" attack.

New Zealand-based Simon Gray, who described himself as Robert Graham's second cousin, said he was appalled by the brutal attack on Leslie Cumming, 68, outside his home in Edinburgh.

The Law Society of Scotland official was repeatedly stabbed in the face during the frenzied attack in 2006.
