Craig was joined by actress wife Rachel Weisz on the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall for the screening of the film, parts of which were shot in the Glencoe area.

Dame Judi Dench, who plays the secret agent's boss M, love interest Naomie Harris, Javier Bardem, the villain, Silva, and Q actor Ben Whishaw, also delighted fans outside the London venue.

Inside, the actor met the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall. Speaking of last night's launch, Craig said: "There's nothing quite like it. This feels even more special than the ones that have gone before for me."

The film goes on general release on Friday.
