Crash footballer has nine-hour operation

A young footballer left fighting for his life after a car crash has undergone a nine-hour operation.

Elgin City trialist Chris Tucker, 21, was left with two broken legs, a broken pelvis and a severe cut to his head after the smash on the A96 near Alves last week.

He had been travelling home with team mates from a 5-1 win against Inverness City when their car crashed on Wednesday.
