The fault affected mainly NatWest customers, who are part of the RBS Group, as well as some customers of Ulster Bank and RBS.

Customers out of pocket after glitch
A TECHNICAL glitch left thousands of customers who use banks belonging to the RBS Group out of pocket yesterday after the computer system failed to update their balances.
