Dairy to push ahead with plans

A DAIRY firm is pushing ahead with controversial plans to build a new village with 600 homes, allotments, a playpark and a primary school.

Stirling Council has received an application notice, which must be issued prior to any major planning application, from Graham's Dairies for land at Airthrey Kerse, Bridge Of Allan, Stirlingshire.

Local residents and Stirling University students formed a campaign group against the development when plans first emerged because of fears over loss of green space and that the area cannot sustain so many more people.
