Dark horse puts competition to the sword in innovation awards

When John Logie Baird transmitted the first flickering TV images across a few feet in 1924, it marked not only a scientific breakthrough, but also a cultural watershed.

That spirit of ingenuity was celebrated last night in Glasgow, as a new generation of Scottish inventors gathered at the city’s science centre for the annual John Logie Baird Awards, organised by The GO Group.
