Police have traced the suspected driver of a car which crashed into a tree killing a passenger after a public appeal by the victim's family.
Stefan Sakatiuk, 34, from Fauldhouse, West Lothian, died when the silver Vauxhall Signum he was travelling in left the B7015 and hit a tree on New Year's Day.
The driver left the scene of the crash which happened at around 7.45pm, 50 metres east of the Sheephousehill Road junction with Breichwater Place.
