Disabled badge fine condemned

A great-grandmother who had a triple heart bypass has hit out at council chiefs after she was fined for displaying her disabled parking badge the wrong way around.

Widow Mary Jack, 77, was hit with a £30 fixed penalty notice for failing to correctly display her blue badge outside her home in Strathaven, Lanarkshire.

A parking attendant issued the ticket after noticing the badge was incorrectly displayed.
