The vacant church in Lower London Road caught alight around 5.15pm on Monday, with the flames widely visible across the capital. The place of worship had latterly been used as a storage facility and was destroyed by the fire.
POLICE have been unable to establish the cause of a major blaze at an Edinburgh church, given the extent of the damage.
