Chart-topping rapper Dizzee Rascal has collaborated with Microsoft to launch their latest tablet, revealing a super-sized Surface 2 tablet.

The Dirtee Disco and Fix Up, Look Sharp singer, who has worked with the likes of Calvin Harris, was dwarfed by the giant 27x17ft Surface 2 in London's Trafalgar Square.

Microsoft launched the Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 as it seeks to take on Apple, Google, Amazon and Samsung in the booming handheld computer market.

The latest incarnations of the Surface tablets were unveiled in New York last month, at which Microsoft promised improved processing power, battery life, display and camera quality over the first generation versions.

The company has also redesigned the tablet's Kickstand, which allows it to be propped up, saying it is more comfortable to use on your lap or at a desk.

Dizzee Rascal - real name Dylan Mills - said: "I'm never in one place for long - whether it's in the studio, on tour, I'm always travelling about and now I can combine work and play on one device - works for me."

Ally Wickham, from Microsoft, said: "We're really excited to be collaborating with Dizzee Rascal on the Surface 2 launch; he is a real inspiration for what can be achieved when you go out there and get more done.

"The Surface 2 is designed to work with you to achieve, connect and compile your personal and work worlds."

Both tablets are on sale now.
