A STRIKING image of a Border Collie poised to begin herding sheep on Shetland is this year's winner of the Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the Year competition.
The photograph, taken by Catherine Laurenson from Glasgow, shows her Border Collie, Max, at work.
In third place in the dogs at play category was the picture of Maltese poodle Taylor, left, taken by Tracey Adams.
