Dozens of artists attend Creative Scotland meeting

DOZENS of artists attended a meeting with the national arts body to air their frustrations at the way it is run.

The first of the "Open Space" meetings for artists to air their concerns about funding body Creative Scotland took place at the arts body's offices at Waverley Gate in Edinburgh yesterday.

Organised by Jen McGregor, artistic director of Tightlaced Theatre, an Edinburgh-based company, the forum was convened in response to a request by the quango's chief executive Andrew Dixon that artists talk directly to the organisation rather than through the press or social media.
