An Edinburgh lawyer has spoken of his frustration at the failure of the authorities to deal with children who have tormented him in his home for being gay.

Daniel Donaldson, 34, has failed to take out an interdict and non-harassment orders as authorities would not provide details of the perpetrators.

Mr Donaldson said they have verbally abused him in the street and thrown missiles at his home. The youngsters were charged and placed before the Children's Panel but the lawyer criticised the pace of justice. Mr Donaldson, who lives with his partner, plans to move.
