A driver has died after his car crashed into a railway bridge.

The 25-year-old man suffered fatal injuries when his black Honda Civic hit the bridge at Causewayhead Road, Stirling.

The collision, near the junction with Cornton Road, happened at around 12.20am yesterday.

Police Scotland said the road was closed for about four hours while a collision investigation took place.

Meanwhile, two teenagers have been taken to hospital following a car crash in Dundee, just before 11pm on Saturday. A red Peugeot 206 hit a wall at DC Thomson on Kingsway East on.

The 18-year-old male driver suffered a head injury and is in a serious condition at Ninewells Hospital. The passenger, also an 18-year-old man, was kept in overnight at Ninewells with a fractured shoulder.

Police are appealing for witnesses to both incidents.
