Duke's work praised

The National Trust for Scotland has paid tribute to the work of the Duke of Buccleuch after he stepped down as president after 10 years.

The Duke of Buccleuch has been succeeded by the Earl of Lindsay after he chaired his final AGM for the charity on Saturday.

Chief executive Kate Mavor said the Duke would be remembered "with great warmth, for his love of Scottish history, knowledge of conservation and bringing new supporters to the Trust".
