LINDSAY McQuarrie, 22, models her own design chosen by knitwear firm Brora to be manufactured as part of a celebration of the country's wool industry.

Miss McQuarrie, a student at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, in Dundee, is one of 15 students whose jumpers will be sold in stores nationwide. It was made from Shetland wool and the design was picked for its "earthy colours and tangy shades", which Brora said made it "really reflective of Scottish heritage" while maintaining a contemporary feel.

The partnership between universities and retailers is part of the Campaign for Wool's Wool School initiative, with the designs being sold from October 14.
