Elephants on parade

OLIVIA Martin, eight, gets up close to one of the statues forming an Elephant Parade in a shopping centre.

The 28 artworks have been placed around Braehead mall as part of a project to raise funds for Asian elephant conservation.

Artists and celebrities have created the designs on the statues, which are touring the UK. Mike Spits, Elephant Parade founder, said: "The tour captures a wide range of artistic styles and representation from artists around the UK - a national tour with local flavour."
