SCOTTISH singer Tallia Storm wowed the crowds at Falkirk Football Stadium last night as she performed as a support act for Sir Elton John.

The 13-year-old schoolgirl rocked a 15,000-strong crowd after being hand-picked by the legendary musician to open at his only Scottish concert.

Her performance came about after she spotted Sir Elton's partner David Furnish while on holiday in the US and handed him a recording. Sir Elton called her the next day and asked her to perform.

Describing the phone call, she said: "He pinpointed bits to give feedback. He said my music was really exciting."

The soul singer performed five songs before thanking Sir Elton and Mr Furnish, telling them they had "changed her life".
