Luminate, Scotland's creative ageing festival, will during October stage an array of performances, events and activities aimed at older people.
Yesterday, as organisers joined with musicians in Edinburgh to discuss ideas for the festival, over-60s dance group 24-Carat Gold showed just what could be done. The festival, which is being held annually, turns the spotlight on arts activities with, by and for older people, as well as events for audiences and participants from across all the generations. It is estimated the festival, backed by Creative Scotland, the Baring Foundation and Age Scotland, will have 350 activities, from the Borders to Shetland.
