End of the road for bowls club

A SCOTTISH bowling club, founded by George Moodie, the first captain of the famous tea clipper Cutty Sark, has closed its doors after 114 years.

In its heyday Methil Bowling Club had about 700 members but in recent years suffered a dwindling membership. The club went out on a high, however, and won the Fife Fours at its last tournament.
