FORECASTERS are predicting an end to days of stormy weather that gripped the north-east, with showers and lighter winds expected today.
Heavy rain which hit much of Scotland yesterday has also died down, with the Met Office predicting a return to showery conditions.
Parts of Scotland have been hit by winds as high as 80mph in the last two days as a winter storm affected much of the Western Isles and northern areas.
