A UK ticket-holder has come forward to claim to a £148.6 million EuroMillions jackpot, it was revealed yesterday.
If the claim is validated the prize could be paid out tomorrow.
The prize is the nation's second-largest lottery win ever, behind the £161m Colin and Chris Weir, from Largs in Ayrshire, landed last July – which was also in the EuroMillions.
"It's amazing to have another big EuroMillions win in the UK – the seventh jackpot to be won here this year," said a National Lottery spokeswoman.
