Ex-media baron warns against Leveson legislation for press

A former newspaper baron has warned legislating to implement the Leveson Report could lead to politicians having greater control over the press.

Lord Stevens of Ludgate, former chairman of Express Newspapers, claimed some politicians want revenge for the revelations about MPs' expenses. He also questioned the motives of celebrities such as Hugh Grant who campaigned for tighter regulation.
