AN ex-Ukip MEP is facing a raft of criminal charges linked to alleged fraud, prosecutors have said.
Ashley Mote is accused of a total of nine counts including misconduct in public office, fraud and false accounting between 2004 and 2009. He was initially elected as an MEP for Ukip, but was kicked out of the party after the 2004 election, and was an independent.
