Fake ecstasy pills put seven in hospital

SEVEN people required hospital treatment after taking potentially deadly fake ecstasy pills.

Strathclyde police have issued a warning after the drug, which is thought to contain a cocktail of harmful substances, was circulated in Lanarkshire at the weekend.

Those who took the red and yellow pills suffered seizures, an increased heart rate and a raised body temperature. They have since been discharged from hospital.
