Father and children in loch rescue

TWO young children and their father were rescued from a loch after their sailing dinghy capsized.

The holidaymakers, a 41-year-old man, his eight year-old daughter and son, five, were plucked from Loch Torridon in Wester Ross after Stornoway Coastguard received a 999 call from a member of the public.

The children were wearing lifejackets, but the father was not. The caller who raised the alarm at 11.55am on Saturday described seeing people on the upturned hull of a capsized boat.
