Father jailed for portrait vandalism

A Fathers4Justice campaigner was jailed for six months yesterday for defacing a portrait of the Queen in Westminster Abbey.

Tim Haries, who said he wanted to highlight the "social justice issue of our time", had denied a charge of causing criminal damage of more than £5000 at Southwark Crown Court.
