People in Eyemouth in the Borders have been urged to check gardens and outbuildings, as hundreds of friends and residents joined family members in a further day of searches for 19-year-old Jamie Battison.
His mother yesterday said the beanie hat discovered was the one her son wore on the Saturday he went missing. Police said they could not comment on evidence being gathered as part of an investigation, and added the case was still being treated as a missing person search.
