FASHION experts Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway take a trip in a 1950s car as they launch a festival dedicated to all things retro in the heart of Glasgow.

The Vintage Festival, which is organised as part of the annual Merchant City Festival, is to be bigger and better than before.

Wayne Hemingway said: "Last summer we learnt that Glasgow folk know how to party and in this very special summer for the city we are expanding Vintage Glasgow in the knowledge that it's time to turn up the partying a notch or two."

The designers brought some 1950s flair to new vintage-themed venue Wild Cabaret as they unveiled the programme. It takes place across the Merchant City on the weekend of July 26-27.
