Fiddle champion defends her title

DEFENDING champion Maggie Adamson has been crowned Glenfiddich Fiddle Champion for the second year in a row.

Adamson, from Fladdabister in Shetland, said she was delighted to win fiddling's highest of accolades at Blair Castle, Perthshire.

She said: "To have been invited to compete in The Glenfiddich Fiddle Championship is an honour enough, but to have won once, and now to have won two years in a row is fantastic. To us as fiddle players, this really is the highest of accolades.
