Fiennes to face court

EXPLORER Sir Ranulph Fiennes has been ordered to appear in court to face a speeding charge on Scotland's deadliest road.

Sir Ranulph, pictured, pled not guilty by lawyer's letter yesterday to driving at 98mph on the A9 near Inverness earlier this year. He will now have to appear at Inverness Justice of the Peace court for an intermediate hearing on January 9 next year and will go on trial on February 1, hitting the preparations for his next big adventure, to cross Antarctica which is due to start in March 2013.
