A FIREMASTER who was decorated for his lifelong service and dedication to the Fire Brigade left £6.7 million fortune in his will.

Frank Rushbrook CBE was a former firemaster with Edinburgh & South-East of Scotland Fire Brigade and was known as a worldwide authority on controlling blazes at sea

Mr Rushbrook, who died aged 99 in February this year, was born in Edinburgh on December 6, 1914.

He served in brigades across Britain and after retiring in 1970 worked as a fire consultant,

Mr Rushbrook's published will has revealed he had a £350,000 property in Edinburgh and a massive stocks and shares portfolio worth more than £6m.

He supported various charities and good causes.
