Fire crews fight airport blaze

PASSENGERS were evacuated from Glasgow Airport's domestic arrivals terminal after a fire broke out on the main concourse.

The alert began after smoke was seen pouring into the area which was busy with commuters arriving home from work and other travellers.

The incident, which lasted about an hour from around 7.15pm last night, was tackled by fire crews wearing breath- ing apparatus and using thermal imaging equipment to detect the blaze from within a wall.
