Fire crews tackle major wildfire

A HELICOPTER has been used as about 40 firefighters tackled a "significant" wildfire in the Highlands.

Crews were called after reports of fire crossing the road in the Glenferness area of Nairn at 4.45pm yesterday. Flames were brought under control after workers from estates joined forces with firefighters.
