Hewlett-Packard (HP) is setting up an IT service hub for UK clients at its headquarters in Erskine, Renfrewshire, and recruitment for 700 “high value” jobs will begin in November.
Politicians and unions have criticised the Scottish Government for giving a technology firm £7 million to create 700 jobs, just over a year after it announced it was cutting the same number of posts through the closure of its manufacturing operation.
