Fitness to work test staff 'need further training'

Staff carrying out controversial fitness to work tests need more training in mental health, a Labour MP has claimed.

Tom Greatrex said it was "vital" people with such conditions were assessed by properly qualified staff.

Information provided to him in a parliamentary written answer shows that some nurses working for French-owned company Atos who carry out the tests have nine days of training on the issue.
