FIVE people are to stand trial accused of human trafficking after they allegedly brought two women to Scotland "with the intent to exploit them".

The three women and two men appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court yesterday accused of bringing two Slovakian women to the country earlier this year.

Helena Kulova, a Slovak national, is alleged to have "facilitated the travel to the UK" of Zanetta Lakatosova between May 1 and May 31.

Along with Renata Kulova, Ali Raza, Ivan Balog and Lenka Svitokova, she is also accused of arranging for Anna Tothova to be brought to the UK.

Helena Kulova, 47, Renata Kulova, 20, Svitokova, 27, Balog, 27, and Raza, 20, denied all charges against them on indictment.
