Five men have been jailed for a minimum total of 131 years for stabbing a 16-year-old boy to death with swords and knives in a frenzied street attack, police said.

Hani Hicham Abou El Kheir died on January 27 last year after he was set upon by up to 10 people while he was walking through an estate in Pimlico, central London.

Craig Boyce, 26, of Paddington, was sentenced to life at the Old Bailey and will serve a minimum of 27 years for his part in the killing.

Ahmed Mikhaimar and Arber Barbatovci, both 20 and of Pimlico, a 20-year-old man from Camberwell, who cannot be named for legal reasons, and Tarquai Joseph, 19, from Maida Vale, were all sentenced to life with a minimum of 26 years.

All five were found guilty of murder on Tuesday.

In a statement read out in court yesterday, Hani's mother, Pauline Hickey, told of the grief she felt at losing her only child and said that he had only overcome anxiety attacks to venture out on his own eight weeks before he was killed.
