Footballer suspended over tweet

A youth team footballer at a Scottish Premiership club has been suspended for allegedly posting offensive comments on Twitter about the Orange Order.

The message appeared on Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Joe Gorman's account on Tuesday night apparently referring to Ross Kemp's Extreme World programme broadcast on Sky One, which focused on conflict in Northern Ireland during the marching season.

The tweet was later removed and the 19-year-old's account deactivated, but Caley said they had suspended the former Republic of Ireland youth international while they carried out an investigation.
