A Christmas card drawn by former Dr Who star David Tennant to raise funds for charity is at the centre of a bidding war online.

Tennant, from Bathgate, drew the one-off card, which features a question mark formed by a candy cane and a holly berry and the message Happy Christmas?, to raise funds for MS Society UK.

The society provides support for people affected by multiple sclerosis, a condition that affects the nervous system.

The card appeared on auction site ebay on Monday with a starting price of 99p and has already attracted 14 offers and a bid of £225.

Bidding on the card, which is also signed by the actor, closes on Thursday, December 11.

Tennant's design is one of twenty cards being auctioned as part of the charity's Cards for a Cause campaign.

Other celebrities who have drawn cards for the auction include footballer Frank Lampard, Katherine Jenkins, Lorraine Kelly and Sir Chris Hoy.
