FORMER Prime Minister Gordon Brown was all smiles as he watched Raith Rovers achieve a surprise victory over Rangers in the Ramsden's Cup.

Mr Brown, a lifelong fan of the Kirkcaldy club and PM from 2007 to 2010, was seen shaking hands with fans after the dramatic tie at Easter Road in Edinburgh. The Fife MP is arguably the club's most famous fan.

In 2009, he compared supporting the side to the ups and downs of politics, saying: "It's living through the tough times that makes the reward when it comes all the sweeter."
