Grant Quigley, who won the medal at the games on the Isle of Man, was put on probation and ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid community work in April.
He had originally been charged with the attempted murder of 19-year-old Thomas Thruel, who, it had been claimed at the High Court in Glasgow, had bullied him at school.
