Fresh fury at Tesco city plans

Tesco faces more community hostility in the Glasgow area after quietly starting the second round of its bid to build a superstore on a controversial site.

The land at Beith Street, Partick, was the focus of a public inquiry two years ago.

Now the supermarket chain has started a low-key consultation with residents and community groups before submitting its formal proposal for the site to the city council.
