Funeral held for Ford Kiernan's son

The funeral has taken place of the 12-year-old son of Still Game star Ford Kiernan.

Sonny Kiernan was found dead in the family home in the west end of Glasgow last Monday.

Family and friends attended a service for the Kelvinside Academy pupil at Clydebank Crematorium today.

Police attended the home Mr Kiernan shares with his wife and daughter at about 11.30pm on January 6 following a report of a death.

There were no suspicious circumstances.

Mr Kiernan, 51, and his comedy partner Greg Hemphill star in the popular BBC Scotland shows Still Game and Chewin The Fat.

They are due to revive their characters Jack Jarvis and Victor McDade for a run of live stage shows of Still Game at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow this autumn.
