POLICE are hunting a gang who attacked a man on his way home.
The 41-year-old man was walking near to Unit Four at Hillington Park, Queen Elizabeth Avenue, when he was attacked by three men.
It happened at around 1am on Sunday.
The suspects ran off and the victim managed to phone for help.
He was rushed to the Southern General Hospital where he was treated for a serious facial injury.
All three suspects are white, between 20 and 28-years-old and wearing tracksuits.
Detective Sergeant Ross MacDonald said: "This would appear to be a totally unprovoked attack on a man as he walked home.
"It is unclear in which direction the suspects ran off and we are currently looking at CCTV to obtain more information.
"I'd like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of Queen Elizabeth Drive around 1am and may have seen the three suspects hanging around the area."

Meanwhile, three people have been Three people have been arrested in connection with an assault on a man who was left with a serious head injury.
Two women aged 26 and 19, and a 24-year-old man have been charged following the assault on a 33-year-old man in Lawrence Street, Buckhaven, Fife, at th weekend.
They are due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday.
