Around 80 residents have been moved out of their homes for the night after a gas leak was detected in the street outside.
Scotland Gas Networks said the leak at Silverfir Court, in the Gorbals area of Glasgow, was reported yesterday morning by contractors in the area.
Residents from three blocks of flats, mostof whom are said to be aged 80 and over, were taken to a local community centre.
