They are backing Action for Children's campaign after a survey found 31% of Scots thought gay people could not foster.
Ms Davison and Ms Godbold have been together since 1997. They moved to the Isle of Skye six years ago, but at that time it wasn't legal for them to foster. Four years ago, same-sex couples were granted rights to adopt or foster in Scotland. As soon as the law changed, the couple contacted Action for Children. Ms Davison said: "Having foster children is like having your own child. You have to have an open heart and each child is unique. You have to remember what they have gone through, as you need to help them overcome difficulties."
